The East Ridge Girls hockey team traveled to the Xcel Energy Center for the first time in the program's history, winning its first game for the national championship after defeating Eagan in the section finale. The Thunderbolts travel to Stillwater High School on Friday, November 4 for their second state tournament in three years.
The spring season led to the East Ridge softball team reaching the state tournament for the first time in the program's history. The winter season ended with a victory over Cretin-Derham Hall, which won its second state championship in three years and its third state title overall.
